A recent Nielsen Research survey revealed that 82% of adults will use an internet search, such as Google (the #1 search engine) to find a local business.

Of those surveyed, 50% said internet search engines were the FIRST place they looked when seeking a local business ahead of The Yellow Pages directories at 24%.

If your business is not found on the first page of Google search results, where the majority of internet searches occur, then you are missing out on potential customers to your competition.

Try this… type your most relevant keyword for your business into Google along with your main city location.

For example… if you’re a dentist in Sydney, type Dentist Sydney into Google Search and look at the results. Does your business show up in the Local Business Search Results at the top of  the first page, with the big Google Map? …Or can you only see your competitors websites right on the first page of Google listings?
